How Nick's Garage works

Control, protection and data built around the real package

Nick’s Garage works with factory and standalone engine-management systems for calibration, diagnosis, integration and data analysis. Wiring and ECU strategy are developed around the engine, fuel system, sensors, transmission and safety requirements.

Standalone ECUs: real workshop projects

See how engine management, displays and power management come together in our workshop projects. Standalone installation can involve wiring, sensors and calibration as well as ECU configuration.

Before arranging the work

Is standalone ECU installation the same as ECU remapping?

No. ECU remapping changes the calibration of a supported ECU. A standalone installation can also involve fitting an ECU, wiring, sensors and integrating other vehicle systems. We review your existing management and the work required before agreeing the scope.

Can you integrate sensors, a dash and other vehicle controls?

Yes, subject to equipment and application compatibility. R38 uses ECUMaster engine management and an ECUMaster instrument cluster. Send details of your ECU, dash, sensors, transmission controls and existing wiring so we can plan the integration.

Scope before parts

The workshop has hands-on tuning and integration capability across MoTeC, ECU Master / EMU, Haltech, Link ECU and Syvecs, independent of dealership status.

Where dyno validation is part of the agreed calibration scope, review the dyno session options and vehicle preparation. Testing is scoped for the actual car, fuel and management system.
