Remote tuning: what must be checked before a session?
Nicks Garage Ltd ·
Remote tuning needs a compatible vehicle and tool, someone competent beside the car and an agreed logging and validation process. Sending a file alone is not a complete tuning session.
Confirm the car, ECU and programming equipment
Send the model, year, engine, ECU identification, current software, modifications and fuel. Include the exact interface and software you have. We confirm the supported work before arranging a remote session; support for one car or ECU does not establish support for every version.
For example, EcuTek's official ECU Connect documentation specifies its own vehicle interface, application-dependent features and supported vehicles. Phone Flash is available for some vehicles. An arbitrary OBD adapter or the presence of a phone app does not establish programming compatibility.
Agree who does each part of the work
Before booking, agree who will operate the car and equipment locally, who will calibrate it and how data will be reviewed. Mechanical faults, wiring problems or unsuitable sensors require diagnosis. Remote access cannot replace the work needed beside the actual vehicle.
- Vehicle, ECU and existing calibration details.
- Interface, software and licences already available.
- Local workshop or operator, location and time zone.
- Known faults, recent work and existing logs or dyno graphs.
- Testing method, session scope, timing and quotation.
Dyno access and checking the result
If an external tuner needs our Dynojet in Cyprus, contact us before arranging a session. We agree access, the local responsibilities, the car's suitability and the data required. Testing is planned for suitable controlled conditions; this guide is not an instruction to perform full-load runs on public roads.
Remote enquiries from Greece or elsewhere start with the same details. Confirm the supported application, local arrangements and terms before buying equipment or making travel plans.
