Eco tuning in Cyprus

An ECU assessment with everyday fuel use as the priority. We review your car, its condition and your driving pattern, then confirm whether economy-focused remapping is suitable and how the result should be checked.

Start with your car and current consumption

Send the make, model, year, engine and ECU details if known, together with fuel use, typical journeys and current modifications. A factory ECU remap, diagnosis of a running fault and a standalone ECU calibration have different requirements. We identify the appropriate route before agreeing the work.

If consumption has increased unexpectedly, include warning lights, fault codes and recent repairs. Mechanical condition, tyre pressures, routes, traffic, load, temperature and driving style can all affect fuel use. An existing fault may need attention before a software change is considered.

How we plan an economy-focused enquiry

  1. Record the starting point

Measure the fuel added and distance covered over several full-tank intervals. Note the route, traffic, load and type of driving.

  2. Assess condition and compatibility

We review the exact engine, ECU, current faults and supporting hardware before confirming available software and any diagnostic checks.

  3. Agree the work and validation

The proposed checks, calibration scope, price and testing are confirmed for the actual car. Dyno work is discussed when it helps the agreed assessment.

  4. Compare under similar conditions

After any agreed work, repeat the fuel-use record over comparable journeys. Keep changes in weather, traffic, load and driving style alongside the figures.

Measure fuel consumption in L/100 km

Begin with a full tank and record the odometer. At subsequent full refills, record the litres added and distance travelled. For the measured period, divide the total litres used by the total kilometres travelled, then multiply by 100. Use the totals across the period rather than averaging individual tank percentages.

For example, 140 litres over 2,000 km equals 7.0 L/100 km. This is a calculation example, not a promised result from tuning. Several comparable intervals are more useful than one refill. Follow the vehicle manufacturer's normal refuelling instructions; do not overfill the tank.

A dashboard estimate or a dyno power curve alone does not establish a fuel saving on the road.

L/100 km = total litres used × 100 ÷ total kilometres travelled

Calculate your recorded fuel consumption

Use total litres and kilometres for each period. The last two fields are optional for a comparison. Leave them blank if you are recording only your starting consumption.

The calculation runs only on your device. This form does not send or store your entries. Their values are not included in analytics or Clarity recordings.

Road use, emissions systems and expectations

The economy assessment keeps the vehicle's emissions equipment and fault monitoring in place, including DPF, EGR, AdBlue and catalytic converters where fitted. The car's exact condition and supported application determine whether a calibration is appropriate.

We do not promise a fuel-saving percentage. More torque or a different accelerator response does not by itself prove lower consumption. The comparison must use actual fuel and distance records under similar conditions.

Eco-tuning questions

Can an ECU remap reduce fuel consumption?

It can be assessed as a goal for a supported vehicle, but a reduction is not guaranteed. We review the exact engine, ECU, condition and use, then agree whether software work is appropriate. Fuel records before and after are needed to evaluate the outcome.

Can you assess petrol and diesel cars?

We accept vehicle-specific petrol and diesel enquiries. Send the model, year, engine, ECU details if known and existing software or hardware changes. A model name or catalogue listing does not establish support for every version.

My consumption has suddenly increased. Should I book a remap?

Describe the change and any warning lights, faults or recent work first. A mechanical, sensor or maintenance issue may need diagnosis. Remapping is considered only after the car and the purpose of the work have been assessed.

Is a dyno graph proof of a fuel saving?

No. A dyno session can support agreed calibration or diagnostic work, while road consumption depends on actual usage. Compare measured fuel added and distance travelled over similar routes and conditions.

Does eco tuning include removing DPF, EGR or AdBlue?

No. Our economy assessment keeps the vehicle's emissions equipment and fault monitoring in place. It does not include removing DPF, EGR, AdBlue or catalytic converters.

How much does an economy-focused assessment or remap cost?

Price, supported software, required checks and availability are confirmed for your exact vehicle and the agreed work. Send the vehicle and usage details before arranging a visit. Preparing an enquiry does not itself book an appointment.

Discuss your own car

Send the vehicle, its use and your current consumption. We confirm compatibility and the proposed work before arranging a visit.
