Identification & application notes

  • Original photographs show SERI/JAEGER, a 0–120 km/h scale, temperature and oil auxiliary indications and a mechanical cable connection. The right auxiliary indication has an oil-can symbol; it is not a confirmed fuel gauge.
  • The face also carries a hexagonal lightning-style mark consistent with an Electroprecizia lead. Electroprecizia's own history confirms acquisition of the SERI-DUCELLIER-JAEGER licence in 1967, and its issuer memorandum documents dashboard production under those licences.
  • The manufacturer-history association is an inference from the visible mark and primary historical records. It does not establish this instrument's exact manufacturer number, manufacture date or vehicle compatibility.
  • Vauxhall Velox EIP/Peugeot 403 and 12 V remain unconfirmed owner-title claims. ARO M461 appeared as a further research lead, but no primary exact-part catalogue/photo match was established; no vehicle model is advertised as confirmed.
  • Confirm a readable rear stamped number, instrument diameter, mounting, cable-drive ratio and electrical connections/voltage. A mechanical speedometer face alone cannot establish the electrical operating voltage.
