Dyno testing in Cyprus: what should you book?
Nicks Garage Ltd ·
Start with the purpose of the session: measuring power, developing a calibration, running in an engine and investigating a fault are different jobs.
A power figure is not the whole brief
At Nick's Garage in Livadia, Larnaca, the Dynojet 424XLCI2 is used for 2WD and 4WD vehicle development. A session is planned around the actual vehicle, its condition and the work required. A power check is not automatically a complete ECU tune or a diagnosis of every possible fault.
Tell us whether you need a baseline measurement, calibration work, a controlled run-in programme or investigation of a particular symptom. If another tuner will carry out the calibration, say so before booking so that access and responsibilities can be agreed.
Send these details before a session
A clear brief helps us check suitability before the car arrives. If something is unknown, say that rather than guessing.
- Make, model, year, engine and driven wheels: 2WD or 4WD.
- Current ECU, modifications and fuel to be used for the session.
- Your intended use, objective and any current faults or warning lights.
- Existing graphs or logs, with their original labels and conditions.
- Who will do the calibration, and your preferred timing.
Read the graph on its stated basis
Wheel horsepower and engine or clutch horsepower are different reporting bases. Our project archive contains figures with different labels. Keep the original basis attached to each result; do not compare numbers as if every graph measured the same thing.
Ask which basis will be reported for your session and what supporting data will be recorded. A published workshop example is evidence about that particular car and session, not a promised gain for your own vehicle. We do not use a universal drivetrain-loss percentage to turn one result into another.
Confirm the work before the car arrives
Mechanical condition, tyres, cooling, fuel and access to the management system need to suit the planned testing. Describe known problems before the session rather than treating a dyno booking as approval to test an unresolved fault.
Price, duration, suitability and availability are confirmed for the agreed job. An enquiry is not a reservation. Use the vehicle enquiry form to prepare the information, then send the message yourself through WhatsApp or email.
